* * * * * * Con canciones y bailes un grupo de actores viajeros le llevan en un viaje desde una antigua leyenda de creación andina a los días de hoy mientras defienden a la Madre Tierra y la experiencia nativo americana.

La obra es realizada en inglés, contiene seis números musicales y se presentará en el Teatro 1 con capacidad para 499 personas de Los Angeles Theatre Center.

Luis Ávalos, escritor y director de "Pachamanca, Mother Earth", (Pachamanca, Madre Tierra), nació en Cuba y se crió en la ciudad de Nueva York, donde se graduó de Tisch School of the Arts de NYU e inmediatamente después se unió al Lincoln Center Repertory Theater, actuando en Broadway en "Beggar on Horseback" (El pordiosero a caballo), "The Good Woman of Setzuan" (La buena mujer de Setzuan) y "Narrow Road to the Deep North" (El angosto camino hacia el profundo norte), además de sus actuaciones fuera de Broadway y en otros teatros regionales. Luis Ávalos alcanzó la fama internacional como estrella de la serie de televisión "The Electric Company" (630 episodios) y otras series incluyendo "ER" (22 episodios) y "Resurrection Boulevard" por las cuales fue galardonado con el Premio Alma, y muchos otros papeles como invitado. Sus créditos en la pantalla incluyen "The Ringer" (El farsante), "Hollywood Homicide" (Homicidio en Hollywood), "Love Stinks", (El amor hiere), "Jungle 2 Jungle", y muchos más. Sus créditos como director incluyen dos films en español en México, "Palenque" y "La Revancha" y un especial de Telemundo, "El Regalo de Paquito," por el cual recibió una nominación Emmy (R). Dirigió un cortometraje para Universal, "Always Roses" (Siempre rosas), el cual ganó en el Festival de Cine de San Antonio. En El Portal Theatre, dirigió su adaptación traducida de "Ollantay - Warrior of the Sun" (Ollantay - Guerrero del Sol) una historia clásica Inca. Luis escribió el libro y la letra para el musical ganador de varios galardones, "Paquito's Christmas" (La Navidad de Paquito), que debutó en LATC en 1994 y ha sido varias veces producido en ambas costas desde entonces. En 2008 en LATC, tradujo, dirigió y estelarizó "El Impostor". Luis es el fundador y director artístico de la The Americas Theatre Arts Foundation.
